We are L1, We Create Solutions
L1 Scientific began operations in June 2021 after being awarded an Innovative Solutions Canada contract to tackle the Alternate Format Business Technology Challenge. We successfully completed Phase 1 of the challenge in December 2021 and completed Phase 2 in October 2024. Our company specializes in custom software development and consulting. Areas of expertise include smart-speakers, accessibility, mathematical programming, simulation, and computational fluid dynamics.
Who We Are
L1 is a small but mighty team led by Tim Rees. We are a remote-work organization, with employees and contractors located in Ontario and across BC. We hire interns, primarily from the University of Victoria, to help meet our project demands. We operate on a lean model with the ability to rapidly ramp up resources to tackle technical problems of all sizes.
